The Spiddal Prom Loop trail, is a beautiful scenic route that showcases the breathtaking beauty of Galway’s coastline and is an ideal stop for those looking for a stroll without the crowds closer to Galway city. This picturesque trail winds its way along the seafront at Spiddal village, offering stunning views of Galway bay and the Burren in county Clare. There is ample parking along the route, which stretches from the main beach on the way into the village, past the Sean céibh or old harbour, along and over the mouth of the Both Loiscithe river as it flows into the bay and across to an céibh nua, the new harbour. The route allows you to start and finish where you please and is about 3.5km in total, with a flat footpath for the entire route.
